Penetration Grade (PG)

 

Classified based on penetration depth, PG bitumen is commonly used in road construction and waterproofing applications.

It is available in various grades, indicating its penetration depth at a standard temperature and load.

 

● PG 40/50: Suitable for moderate climates, road construction, and general-purpose waterproofing.

● PG 60/70: Ideal for areas with higher temperatures and heavy traffic loads, commonly used in asphalt paving.

● PG 80/100: Designed for regions with extreme temperatures and high traffic volumes, providing excellent durability and resistance to rutting.

 

Application 

  • Road construction and surfacing for highways, urban roads, and rural roads
  • Production of asphalt mixes for various pavement applications, including parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks
  • Manufacturing of bituminous waterproofing membranes for roofs, basements, and other structures
  • Industrial applications such as bitumen-based coatings, sealants, adhesives, and paints
  • Road maintenance and repair projects, including patching, crack sealing, and pothole repair
  • Production of bitumen emulsions for various applications, including tack coat applications in pavement construction
